1) Comme Chai Toi for traditional, freshly prepared French food and eclectic ambiance.
2) Relais de l’Entrecôte for the thing they do best : steak frites with a butter sauce to die for
3) HolyBelly for a taste of the 3rd wave coffee movement and a delicious brunch worth waiting for

Top 3 favorite foods in France?

1) Foie gras
2) All the smelly, gooey cheeses
3) All the pastries… I can’t choose just one.

Top 3 tips for new expats in France?

1) Learn the language: this is your key to making friends, living life and feeling at home
2) Always ask questions and be relentless about it. People will usually not offer up information unless you ask it directly.
3) Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. Meet new people. Try new things. Sign up for classes. Take advantage of all the cultural events in your area. You didn’t come all this way to stay holed up at home!

Top 3 tips for travelers in France?

1) When interacting with anyone, Bonjour Madame/Monsieur should be the first thing out of your mouth.
2) French people aren’t rude so there is no reason to assume it. Starting any interaction with this assumption only makes it self-fulling.
3) Don’t talk so loudly. Basically observe and mimic how the locals around you are behaving.

Top 3 tips for what to pack for France?

1) A good pair of walking shoes: especially if you’re visiting Paris. Walking is the best way to see the area.
2) A phrase book: after saying Bonjour, you can try to speak some French. A little effort goes along way.
3) A stylish scarf: weather it’s summer or winter, everyone wears a scarf.

Top 3 favorite places in France

1) The D-Day beaches in Normandy – A must to understand and appreciate the history of the world.
2) The Alps in the winter time. Even if you are not a winter sport enthusiast.
3) The coastal area near Arcachon & Dune de Pyla in the summer time

Top 3 neighborhoods in Paris

1) The shopping street of Rue du Commerce in the 15th for a taste of the typical daily Parisian life
2) Butte-aux-Cailles in the 13th for a quaint village-life feel and some awesome street art
3) Montmartre for its cobbled streets, long staircases and sunset views over Paris
